Continuing Education (CE) for HIMSS certification
Hello Noorul,
Thank you for the inquiry. Regarding continuing education for your HIMSS certification, we have a couple of sites/documents that will assist in this process and there are many different ways and opportunities to achieve CEs for your recertification. This site describes the various activities that qualify for CE. And then if needed, for documenting, we have a step-by-step process document that outlines this process. This can be found here.
You may access content at the HIMSS Resource Hub and consume that which appears not to be a sales pitch. While much of the content is sponsored, there are some really good unbiased sessions. And remember that any education that addresses the competencies of the program is eligible. Because we are not able to generate a certificate of completion currently, we ask learners to take a screenshot of the completed registration and the final slide showing the webinar consumption at the end of its session.
There is also a wealth of CE eligible content and courses that can be accessed through the himss.org site in the Events area or in the Resource Center. If the subject matter is relevant to the knowledge domains of the certification program, your learning is CE eligible, and you would self-report that in the CE transcript tool. Some of the webinars will not produce a certificate either so it is recommended that you maintain screen shots of this education. As an example, if you consume this webinar (found in the Resource Center), you can claim 1 CE; https://www.himss.org/
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
